CCTV Monitoring Services

We tailor every assignment to your site, your cameras and your risks. Our CCTV operators can provide:

  • Public space surveillance and control room monitoring
  • CCTV monitoring for retail premises and shopping areas
  • Camera monitoring for bars, clubs, venues and events
  • CCTV cover for construction sites and vacant buildings
  • Residential and corporate building CCTV, alongside concierge teams
  • Short-term cover for holidays, sickness or a period of higher risk

What Our CCTV Operators Do

A good CCTV operator does far more than watch screens. On a typical shift our operators:

  • Monitor live camera feeds and identify suspicious behaviour early
  • Guide security officers, door supervisors and patrols to incidents by radio
  • Track people and vehicles of interest across multiple cameras
  • Liaise with the police and emergency services when an incident happens
  • Review recorded footage and help with incident investigations
  • Keep accurate logs, incident reports and evidence records
  • Report equipment faults so that cameras stay working
  • Follow your site procedures, including the handling of recorded images

Control Rooms and Public Space Surveillance

In a control room, the operator is the link between the cameras and the people on the ground. Our operators work as part of a CCTV team, manage several feeds at once and pass on clear, accurate information.

Retail, Venues and Events

In shops and venues, our operators watch for theft, disorder and anyone at risk, then direct staff and door supervisors to the right place quickly. At events, CCTV gives the security team a view over crowds, entrances and exits.

Construction Sites, Vacant Property and Residential Buildings

On construction sites and empty buildings, CCTV monitoring works alongside our vacant property security officers to deter intruders and spot problems out of hours. In residential and corporate buildings, operators can support our concierge security teams at the front desk.

SIA Licensed CCTV Operators

Under the Private Security Industry Act 2001, contracted CCTV operators who use cameras to watch members of the public, identify particular people, guard against disorder or protect people from assault must hold an SIA Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) licence. This includes viewing recorded footage for those purposes.

A door supervisor or security guard licence only covers using CCTV to identify a trespasser or protect property, so we supply operators who hold the correct SIA licence for the duties on your site.

As a training provider, we also offer the Level 2 Award for Working as a CCTV Operator (Public Space Surveillance) within the Private Security Industry, the qualification needed to apply for the SIA CCTV licence.
